In order to expedite the leasing process, you may print out the following forms and bring them with you to the property of your choice.
Step One
Complete an
Application and bring a $25 application fee, per applicant, in the form of a cashier's check or money order made payable to either River's Edge Townhomes or River's Edge Apartments. Application's must be completed by each roommate. You may also want to bring proof of income which may consist of the following items.
- Financial Aid
- Full/Part Time Job
- Alimony
- Child Support
- FIA
In order to skip the next steps, you may bring a cashiers check or money order for the deposit when you turn in your application. The amount of this deposit varies depending on the credit-worthiness of the applicant. This money will both hold the apartment for you and be included as part of your security deposit. Next, pending credit check approval, we will proceed with signing the lease and receipt of all forms.
Step Two
Contact the property or properties of your choice and make an appointment to view your new home. You may contact the office by telephone or email. The contact information can be found at the bottom of each property page. In order to speed up the process, be sure to bring all of your completed documents with you. For example: application, proof of income, appropriate fee's in cashier's check or money order.
Step Three
Once you decide on an apartment and submit the completed package, your application will be processed and you will be notified of the decision within 5 minutes!
Step Four
In order to hold the apartment, a holding fee is required. The holding fee amount varies depending on your credit-worthiness and is then used as your security deposit. The deposit is payable by cashier's check or money order made payable to either River's Edge Townhomes or River's Edge Apartments. Your name and address must be written on the front of the cashiers check or money order.
Step Five
Sign the Lease. All roommates will be named on the lease and therefore must be present to sign before you move in.
Step Six
The first months rent or pro-rated amount of rent is due prior to move-in. This amount is also payable by cashier's check or money order. You will be given a form when you inspect the apartment. Please note any deficiencies so that they may either be fixed or noted so that you are not charged at time of move-out. Then the place is yours!
